Barbie Bungee
Yesterday I was walking home, and I ran into this small black poodle that was leaping around all over the place, and I could not help but stare at her dainty paws as they softly treaded on the gravel. I continued to walk home, and this same little dog followed me, so after I made a break for it to go inside my house, the dog stayed outside waiting for me for about fifteen minutes or so before moving on. This morning, I saw him or her again.
So today we went to the courtyard (during fist lunch no less)to bungee jump our barbie dolls. I saw Justin, and I was going to shout "whore!" at him, after he had shouted "ho!" at me. However, I was much too preoccupied with my barbie doll. Anyway, we went up to the second floor in the art building with a "Teresa" barbie doll that had exactly 28 rubber bands tied to her feet (the bungee cord) and dropped her. Her head came one inch close to the ground!!! Personally, that was the highlight of my day. A few of the physics kids were there, so I guess you could say I had much fun. Soon after, I heard that our odd/eccentric barbie-doll bungee jumping was the talk of first lunch, as people whispered about the wild bunch of precalc students throwing random barbies with rubber bands off of the art building.
Now, let me proceed to talk about business law class. Three random males were speaking of one particular female who had hitherto been home-schooled. One of the random males made a comment about this female "having no opinion", and the other random male sayed that because of the fact that this female has no substance, she's perfect. In conclusion, they all agreed that because of the fact that
1) she has no opinion
2) She's good-looking
3) She's not very bright
She's perfect dating material.
This is what I have to say in response to such things: how?
Really, how can people think in such a way? I could not possibly imagine dating a man who did not have some degree of intellect, or perhaps some degree of originality. I believe that one's world and intellectual intercourse becomes much more rich and fulfilling when the ideas being exchanged are not uniform. I believe that by engaging in some interaction with these types of people, we enrich ourselves...
I know that not all men think in such a way, for anyone with some degree of intelligence and perception (whether that person be male of female) is capable of appreciating, admiring, and being attracted to the intelligence possesed by an individual of the opposite sex.
