Contemplating Thoreau

Alright, I know that I should be working on my book, but I just finished reading "A Week on the Concord and Merrimack Rivers" by Thoreau. It certainly does not lack in beauty, and the way in which he describes nature is undeniably unique and classic. The language is indeed compact. He is the perfec embodiment of American Transcendentalism. Thoreau can be an author oftentimes given to superfluities, but he is extraordinary in that he doesn't lack the genius and wit with which to express himself. Now, I too must go and write my book.
