Welcome to the University of Rochester Class of 2009! We're glad to confirm your college plans and offer admission through our Early Decision (ED) program.
We've seen a dramatic increase in ED applications to Rochester in recent years, making our decisions that much more difficult. This tells us that the word about Rochester is out; the unique freedom here is attracting attention around the world. You can be especially proud of being selected.
The emphasis we place on freedom makes us unlike other colleges, so we reviewed your application for much more than grades and scores. Each of our select freshment--only 971 in this year's class--has to make an independent contribution; through our Rochester Curriculum, each will choose a personal four-year set of courses. We look forward to seeing you discover your priorities here, conduct research, and graduate informed and confident about your future...
And then there's that damned enrollment deposit I have to pay...oh well!
